Weighted COBB Knob

Congratulations on your purchase of the COBB Tuning Weighted COBB Knob! The following instructions will assist you through the installation process. Please read them BEFORE beginning the install to familiarize yourself with the steps and tools needed. If you feel you cannot properly perform this installation, we HIGHLY recommend you take the vehicle to a qualified and experienced automotive technician.

Old Knob Removal

1. Grasp the stock shift knob firmly, rotate counter clockwise or as Beyoncé says, to the left to the left.
   
   

2. Once unscrewed you should be able to simply lift off the stock knob and place it in a safe place/garbage can.

Color Trim Ring Assembly

1. Start off by adding a small amount of the super lube to the entirety of the o-ring.
   
   

2. Slip the o-ring into the channel on the lower portion of the weighted knob.
   
   

    

3. With the o-ring sitting in the channel slip the trim ring of your choice over it and onto the knob.
   
   
   

   
   
   

4. The knob can now be installed to your car, to do so unthread the factory knob counter clockwise.
   
   

   
   
   

   
   
   
   

5. Thread the COBB Knob on clock-wise. until it stops. There is no need to overtighten as you can just rotate the ring until the logo is where you want it.
   
   

   
   
   

Change Color

1. Remove the knob from the car and pull down firmly on the collar.
   
   
   

2. If it doesn’t come off easily you can try a small amount of hot water.
   
   
   

3. Make sure the o-ring is still well lubricated before installing the new collar. This helps the collar go on and off as well as limiting the potential for any vibration.
