Congratulations on your purchase of the COBB Tuning BPV for Lancer Evolution X and Lancer Ralliart! The following instructions will assist you through the installation process. Please read them BEFORE beginning the install to familiarize yourself with the steps and tools needed. If you feel you cannot properly perform this installation, we HIGHLY recommend you take the vehicle to a qualified and experienced automotive technician.

• BPV
• 6mm COBB Vacuum Hose
• Zip Ties

Tools Needed

Hand Tools

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Flathead screwdriver

• Needlenose pliers

Stock BPV Removal

1. Using your pliers remove the spring clamp holding the vacuum reference line to the stock BPV.
   
   
   
   
2. Using your screwdriver or a nutdriver/socket of the size appropriate for your clamps, loosen the hose clamps holding the stock BPV in place.
   
   
3. Remove the BPV from the car.
   
   

COBB BPV Installation

1. Push the snout of the COBB BPV into the turbo inlet.
   
   
   
   
2. Gently wiggle the bottom side into the recirculation hose.
   
   
   
   
3. Run the vacuum line to the fitting on the BPV.  If necessary you can loosen the nut on top and re-clock the fitting to optimize the positioning. Torque the top fitting to 60 ft-lbs if moved.
   
   
   
   
4. If the hose isn't long enough run a new one from the hose fitting nearby.
   
   
   
   
5. Using your screwdriver, tighten down all the hose clamps to prevent leaks.
   
   
6. You're all done!  Go out and enjoy!

CARB Sticker Installation (On CARB Certified Applications)

Install the supplied CARB sticker on an easily viewable space that won't be susceptible to large amounts of heat.  We recommend on the radiator core support, or the underside of the hood.
