Installation of COBB Volkswagen MK6 Boost Tap
- Locate the crank vent hose connected to the intake manifold in your GTI. This is where the boost tap will install.
- Remove the hose by squeezing the tabs on each side and pulling off of the intake manifold.
- Before you install the boost tap, apply a small amount of the thread sealant to the fittings then screw on the desired fittings to your boost tap. For our configuration we included one barbed fitting and plugged the other tapped hole. For this you can use any combination you want!
- Install the o-ring into the groove of the barbed portion of the fitting.
- Now take the COBB Boost Tap and place the female end over the barbed fitting the hose just came off of. Use the picture as a reference.
- Take the retaining clip provided and clip the boost tap to the intake manifold. The clip slides over the grooves seen on the boost tap and will click into place.
- To finish the install, clip the hose onto the boost tap. This should clip right onto the barbed fitting of the boost tap just like it did stock.
Congratulations on your new COBB Boost Tap!
