Spark Plug Failure

The stock spark plugs on the Evo X can fail as seen below from our 2014 Evo MR shop vehicle. The car had roughly 1,400 miles when the failure occurred. 

The symptoms of this issue were the following: car ran very poorly, knock was present, and there was a cylinder misfire.

As you can see in the pictures, the porcelain insulators on the failed spark plugs will slide down and are no longer connected properly. NGK claims the failure is from over-torquing the plug. The FSM calls for 13ft/lbs.
