COBB Engine Cover Installation
On the shorter leg of the moustache-shaped bracket. Install a m6x16mm flange bolt on the top side, and a washer and lock nut on the bottom, leave them loose.
You can now slide that into the space the grommet used to be, with the washer and nut on the bottom side.
Loosely install the remaining m6x16mm flange bolt on the opposite side of the bracket into the alternator.
Using your 12mm, remove the bolt holding the stock or other, top mount intercooler to the throttle body.
Â
Slip the lightning bolt shaped bracket (it survived voldemort’s avada kedavra) onto the bolt with the threaded insert facing the engine, and reinstall with it lined up with the front of the car.
Set your carbon cover on top and gradually wiggle around the brackets until it lines up with the holes in the carbon.
Tighten the bolt to the intercooler with your 12mm and the front bracket using a 10mm socket and wrench.
Using the provided m4 allen key, install one of the black oxide allen bolts along with the plastic cobb washer loosely into each hole of the engine cover, then once they’re all in place snug them down. (This isn’t a load bearing part so it doesn’t need a significant amount of torque, just enough to not rattle loose.
You’re all done! Go out and enjoy!
