Ford Fusion EcoBoost Map Notes [Discontinued]

Supported Vehicles:

  • USDM 2013 Fusion 1.6L AT (FWD)
  • USDM 2013 Fusion 2.0L AT (AWD/FWD)
  • SADM 2014 Fusion 2.0L AT (FWD)
  • USDM 2014 Fusion 2.0L AT (AWD/FWD)

Required Accessport Firmware:

  • V3: 1.7.2.0-11281 or greater

Fuel Requirements:
Each map lists the minimum required octane. A higher octane fuel can be used safely on a map designed for lower octane. DO NOT use maps designed for higher octane with lower octane fuels. Top Tier gasoline should be used where available.

  • Maps designated with "87" are for use with 87 and 89 octane fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "91" are for use with 91 and 92 octane fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "93" are for use with 93 and 94 octane fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "95" are for use with 95 RON fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "98" are for use with 98 RON fuel or better.

Map Version Notes

Stage1 Maps

  • Stage1 91 v200
    • Fuel Requirements: 91+ Octane (RON+MON/2) (95+ RON) fuel minimum
    • Boost: Dynamic based upon atmospheric conditions, fuel quality, gear, rpm, drivetrain, and map slot.
      • Up to ~22.0psi tapering to ~14.0psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).
  • Stage1 93 v200
    • Fuel Requirements: 93+ Octane (RON+MON/2) (98+ RON) fuel minimum
    • Boost: Dynamic based upon atmospheric conditions, fuel quality, gear, rpm, drivetrain, and map slot.
      • Up to ~22.0psi tapering to ~14.0psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).
  • Map slot 1 = Max Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with full boost.
  • Map slot 2 = Mid-High Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with 10% less boost.
  • Map slot 3 = Mid-Low Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with 15% less boost.
  • Map slot 4 = Low Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with 25% less boost.
  • Map slot 5 = Economy - This mode disables the wastegate and adjusts WOT fueling and ignition timing for efficiency. This can be used to quickly lower power for times when performance is not needed.

Non-Performance Maps

  • Anti-Theft Mode v200
    • Will not allow vehicle to run
  • Valet Mode v200
    • Fuel Requirements: 87+ Octane (RON+MON/2) (89+ RON) fuel minimum
    • Intake / Exhaust Requirements: Any
    • Boost: Stock Settings
    • Rev Limiter: 3000 RPM
    • Speed Limiter: 35mph (56.3 kph)

Peak Gains are measured as the absolute maximum value between the highest points of two plots.
Max. Gains are measured as the average maximum value between the highest and lowest point of two plots.
Results may vary. Power as tested on 2013 Fusion EcoBoost vehicles using top tier fuel.

Generally speaking, 91 octane calibrations have a richer fuel curve, and a less aggressive ignition advance map to help compensate for lower octane fuel blends such as those found in Arizona, California, and Nevada; and/or less than ideal atmospheric conditions. The maps designed for 93 octane are the most aggressive.

*91 and 93 octane results are compared against a 93 octane fuel baseline. Your 91 octane results may be higher than listed above; as a baseline of 91 octane fuel may read lower than our 93 octane baseline.

Closing Warnings and Precautions:

  • Use of inappropriate calibration/modification combinations will promote engine damage.
  • COBB OTS mapping is NOT designed to be used with upgraded aftermarket boost actuators or solenoids. Doing so may result in much higher than desired boost and potential engine damage. Seek the help of a COBB Accesstuner Professional should your vehicle fall outside of OTS configurations.
  • Top Tier gasoline should be used where available. Use of lower quality fuels can result in catastrophic engine damage.
  • WARNING: Launch Control, Burnout Mode, and Flat-Foot-Shift (LC/FFS) are abusive to the engine, clutch, transmission, axles, and differential. The user accepts all risks and responsibilities when using these features.
  • WARNING: Performance calibrations not designed for use when towing.

Revision Notes:
Stage1

  • v200 – Major Update
    • Synchronized platform features (see COBB Custom ECU Features). Adjusted cruising torque for smoother low speed acceleration. Adjusted shifting torque and delays in all drive modes. Adjusted WOT shifting RPM in all driving modes. Adjusted ignition correction strategies to allow faster torque delivery in optimal conditions. Adjusted octane learning strategy to enhance post-installation experience.
  • v110 – Original Release Calibration
    • Includes pre-configured 5-Way map switching*. Adjusted fuel, ignition timing, boost control (including overboost), camshaft phasing (Ti-VCT), throttle ramping, gear indicators, cooling fans, and base programming logic. Adjusted compensations for more consistent power delivery. Adjusted torque, gear, load, boost, airflow, temperature, speed, and rev limits. All changes to the OEM strategies are designed for overall efficiency and consistency.

Non-Performance

  • v200 – Synchronized versions to match performance calibrations.

*5-Way map switching settings can only be configured with Accesstuner software (Pro or Race).
