Accessport Functions
- You can check and reset your Check Engine Light and various DTC codes (transmission and chassis modules).
- You can use the AccessPORT to view various engine data with the Live Data function.
- The AccessPORT can be used to measure and record 0-60 MPH and ¼ mile performance.
Live Data Parameters
- Coolant Temp – Measurement of the coolant temperature in the engine block. Measured as degrees Celsius for metric measurements and degrees Fahrenheit for standard measurements, also known as ECT.
- Vehicle Speed – Measurement of how fast the vehicle is going according to the input from the Vehicle Speed Sensor(s). Measured in Kilometers Per Hour (KPH) for metric measurements and Miles Per Hour (MPH) for standard measurements, also known as VSS.
- Battery Volts – Measurement of battery voltage at the ECM.
- Calc. Load – (Calculated Load) An engine load value calculated by the ECU. In simpler terms, this value is a measurement of airflow per cylinder per engine revolution. This can also be referred to as Volumetric Efficiency (VE) or engine torque.
- Throttle Position – Measurement of the throttle plate position; 100 being a fully open throttle plate, 0 being a fully closed throttle plate, also known as TPS.
- Engine Oil Temp – Measurement of the engine oil temperature in the engine block. Measured as degrees Celsius for metric measurements and degrees Fahrenheit for standard measurements, also known as EOT.
- MAP Sensor – Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) measured relative to the absolute zero pressure (the pressure that would occur at absolute vacuum). Measured as Bar for Metric and PSI for Standard measurements, also known as MAP.
- Engine RPM – A count of Revolutions of the crankshaft Per Minute, how fast the engine crankshaft is spinning. One 360 degree revolution of the crankshaft = 1 RPM.
- Mass Air Flow – Measurement of the instantaneous Mass Air Flow sensor measurements in grams/sec.
- A/F Correction – Percentage measurement of the MASS of fuel the ECU is immediately adding (above 100) or subtracting (below 100) to the engine to achieve its fuel target for the given conditions. This variable is measured in percentage. For example, 92% represents a -8% fuel trim, 104% represents a +4% fuel trim. This is also know as the OBD II term, Short-Term Fuel Trim (STFT).
- Air Fuel Sensor – Measurement of Air/Fuel sensor voltage.
- Lambda – Engineering term used to demonstrate the Stoichiometry of a hydrocarbon based fuel.
- 1 Lambda λ= Stoichiometry of given fuel, (<1λ) less than 1 Lambda is richer and (>1λ) greater than 1 Lambda is leaner.
- Air Fuel Ratio – Measured ratio (by the factory Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor) of air MASS to fuel MASS. Air MASS/Fuel MASS = A/F Ratio. This sensor has been calibrated to be accurate around 1 Lambda or 14.68 AFR.
- Intake Cam Adv – Measurement of intake camshaft advance of the engine. This variable is measured in camshaft degrees.
