Fuel Requirements:
Each map lists the minimum required octane. A higher octane fuel can be used safely on a map designed for lower octane. DO NOT use maps designed for higher octane with lower octane fuels. Top Tier gasoline should be used where available.
Maps designated with "87" are for use with 87 and 89 octane fuel or better.
Maps designated with "91" are for use with 91 and 92 octane fuel or better.
Maps designated with "93" are for use with 93 and 94 octane fuel or better.
Maps designated with "91" are for use with 95 RON fuel or better.
Maps designated with "98" are for use with 98 RON fuel or better.
Calibration Strategy Information
See our Octane Adjust Ratio technical article for additional information regarding some of the strategies we utilize in these calibrations!
In order to keep the cooling system working efficiently in the most diverse array of conditions, the temperature threshold for fan operation has been lowered so that they come on sooner. This can also mean that the fans will continue running after your car is shut down. This is normal expected behavior.
Map (High Boost Slot) | Peak Gains | Maximum Gains |
|---|---|---|
Stage1 91* | +3% HP / +19% TQ | +20% HP / +22% TQ |
Stage1 93* | +4% HP / +21% TQ | +22% HP / +24% TQ |
Stage2 91* | +18% HP / +24% TQ | +21% HP / +28% TQ |
Stage2 93* | +20% HP / +26% TQ | +23% HP / +30% TQ |
Stock baseline 3rd Gear |
Peak Gains are measured as the absolute maximum value between the highest points of two plots.
Max. Gains are measured as the average maximum value between the highest and lowest point of two plots.
Results may vary. Power as tested on 2015 Mustang EcoBoost vehicles using top tier fuel.
Generally speaking, 91 octane calibrations have a richer fuel curve, and a less aggressive ignition advance map to help compensate for lower octane fuel blends such as those found in Arizona, California, and Nevada; and/or less than ideal atmospheric conditions. The maps designed for 93 octane are the most aggressive.
*91 and 93 octane results are compared against a 93 octane fuel baseline. Your 91 octane results may be higher than listed above; as a baseline of 91 octane fuel may read lower than our 93 octane baseline.

Boost:
91 OCT or 95 RON Up to ~23.0psi tapering to ~19.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).
93 OCT or 98 RON Up to ~23.0psi tapering to ~19.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).
Map slot 1 = Max Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with full boost.
Map slot 2 = Mid-High Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with 6% less boost.
Map slot 3 = Mid-Low Per. – This is the standard OTS map with 11% less boost.
Map slot 4 = Low Perf. – This is the standard OTS map with 17% less boost.
Map slot 5 = Economy - This mode disables the wastegate and adjusts WOT fueling and ignition timing for efficiency. This can be used to quickly lower power for times when performance is not needed.

Closing Warnings and Precautions:
Use of inappropriate calibration/modification combinations will promote engine damage.
Seek the help of a professional COBB Accesstuner Professional should your vehicle fall outside of OTS configurations.
COBB OTS mapping is NOT designed to be used with upgraded aftermarket boost actuators or solenoids. Doing so may result in much higher than desired boost and potential engine damage. Seek the help of a COBB Accesstuner Professional should your vehicle fall outside of OTS configurations.
Top Tier gasoline should be used where available. Use of lower quality fuels can result in catastrophic engine damage.
WARNING: Burnout Mode, Launch Control, Transbrake, and Flat-Foot-Shift (LC/FFS) are abusive to the engine, clutch, transmission, axles, and differential. The user accepts all risks and responsibilities when using these features.
WARNING: Performance calibrations not designed for use when towing.
