ECU Removal

  1. Park your car in a flat, level area and allow it to cool down properly.

  2. Using a 10mm wrench, remove the negative terminal of the battery.

  3. Gently depress the black tab underneath the grey tab for the wiring harness going to the ECU on the passenger's side of the engine bay.  Then rotate the grey lockign tab outwards and gently pull to remove the connector from the ECU.

  4. Repeat with the other three connectors.

  5. Looking at the end of the ECU container, gently pry upward on the two tabs on the top and bottom to release the casing from the ECU.

  6. Gently depress the center portion of the white tab to release it from each side, then rotate it outwards to release the ECU.

  7. The ECU should now slide out free of the vehicle. (yours will most likely not be written on in sharpie)

Shipping

  1. You'll receive the box with foam inside, pull out the four layers.

  2. Slip the ECU into the supplied Anti-Static Bag

  3. The ECU should slot neatly into the second layer with the connector towards the cutout.

  4. Place the other layer back on top, then slide the whole thing back into the box.  The easiest way is to put it up against a wall and slide the foam in.

  5. Seal the box with tape and apply the provided shipping label on top.

Receiving the ECU Back

  1. You'll receive your box with the ECU and the Accessport back in the same package.

  2. Reinstall the ECU, connect the battery, then you should be ready to flash your vehicle with the Accessport!
