Tech Bulletin - 02-05 WRX (SD ECU Type) - Wall Wetting Calibration Improvement

COBB has added support for Wall Wetting Compensation (WWC) tables on 02-05 WRX vehicles in both MAF and SD ECU types.

The COBB SD ECU type has always been re-scaled to support calculated load beyond the factory range. However, since wall wetting compensation tables for this ECU type were not previously exposed or available in COBB software, load values input into some of those tables were not being re-scaled.

Only on the SD ECU type, since the MAF ECU type does not have the load extension/re-scale, calculated load inputs to all WWC tables are now re-scaled as well.

The affected tables are:

• Wall Wetting Comp (Group 2) Base Adder (Load Delta Multiplier)(Pos Delta)"  - (02-05 WRX SD)

• "Wall Wetting Comp (Group 2) Base Adder (Load Delta Multiplier)(Neg Delta)" - (02-05 WRX SD)

• "Wall Wetting Comp (Group 1) Load-Based Correction (Neg Delta)" - (04 WRX SD only).

Upon open of an affected calibration, software will notify you tables have been updated and suggest you review them.

Pre-fix values are as follows for reference:

02-05 WRX SD:
Wall Wetting Comp (Group 2) Base Adder (Load Delta Multiplier)(Pos Delta) =  0.02500

Wall Wetting Comp (Group 2) Base Adder (Load Delta Multiplier)(Neg Delta) = 0.02480

04 WRX SD ONLY:
Wall Wetting Comp (Group 1) Load-Based Correction (Neg Delta) ***LOAD AXIS*** = 0, 0.50, 1.00, 1.50, 2.00, 2.50, 3.50, 4.50, 5.50, 6.50, 7.50
