Vanos Recall

Some N55 vehicles suffer from faulty bolts in the VANOS assembly. This can cause the car to go into limp (fail-safe) mode, or even stall.

Customers state they are experiencing "cold starts, Rough idling, acceleration lag" and that the issues are persistent.  Dealers may or may not be able to locate SIB themselves.
