COBB Custom Features: Burnout Mode on MQB Vehicles

What is MQB?
MQB refers to a platform shared amoung many of the Volkswagen Auto Group (VAG) companies.
Modularer Querbaukasten (Modular Transverse Matrix)
The Transverse mounted front-wheel-drive or All-wheel-drive platform upon which multiple cars have been driven. Among which COBB Offers support for:
- MK7 GTI
- MK7 Golf R
- MK7.5 GTI
- A7 Jetta GLI
- Audi 8V S3
- Audi 8V A3
How To Enable:
This feature is enabled on all OTS Maps
The vehicle will need to meet the following conditions for the ECU to allow it to happen.
- Coolant Temp Min-Max (160F - 250F)
- Engine Oil Min-Max (160F - 250F)
- EGT MAX (1835F)
- Steering Wheel Angle (within 20 degrees of being completely straight)
Steps to Use:
Golf R Will need to be set to "Dyno Mode" in order to disable the rear axle. If enabled the car will essentially just launch itself with a higher RPM than launch control would otherwise allow.
How to: Put MK7 Golf R in "Dyno Mode" (FWD)
Manual Transmission
- Engage the parking brake
- Enable cruise control
- Press and hold the cruise control "set" button
- Depress and hold the clutch pedal to 100%
- Move the shifter to 1st gear
- Depress and hold the throttle pedal to 100%
- Release the clutch pedal
- Continue to hold the "set" button for as long as you'd like to do the burnout
DSG Transmission
- Engage the parking brake
- Enable cruise control
- Press and hold the cruise control "set" button
- Depress and hold the brake pedal to 100%
- Move the shifter to Sport Mode
- Depress and hold the throttle pedal to 100%
- Release the brake pedal
- Continue to hold the "set" button for as long as you'd like to do the burnout
