Battery Disconnect
Park your car in a safe place it will be okay to stay for a little bit. Protection from the elements is probably for the best as we will be unhooking the battery and in some cases leaving a window down can help you get back into the car.
Pop the hood and release the secondary latch.
Unlock the doors so the handles are out.
Pull upward at the front edge of the rear trim panel to release the clips on the two front corners, then pull outwards to slide the trim piece out.
Using a 10mm socket, remove the negative terminal to the battery and move it around the side where it won’t be able to bend back on it’s own to touch the battery.

PDK Module Removal
Once you’ve completely removed the “seat” panel, you can finally access the PDK module, sitting in a hole.
Pull out your T30 and remove the 3 screws holding it in place. The one furthest towards the rear passenger’s side is an actual bolt.
The other two screws are plastic so take some care with those. if they don’t seem to be unscrewing, pry on the screw itself gently upwards. With the plastic tray freed, you can see the two plastic pins the plastic screws were expanding fit nicely into the holes in the body.
Lift up on the grey lever of the ECU connector to release it from the module itself. It should automatically ratchet outwards.
Wiggle the connector the rest of the way off.
Optional: The module can be easily removed at this point, but if you have a hard time reaching you can use your trim tool to gently disconnect the trim clip holding the wiring harness to the module’s bracket. Then the entire thing can be removed from the car.
There are two springy plastic tabs on the front on either side of the connector. Gently press those down and pull the module out.
Once the PDK Module is removed, add it to the provided packaging and ship it in to us for reprogramming!
