Table of Contents

Parts List

  • Silicone Inlet Hose
  • #48 Hose Clamp
  • #44 Hose Clamp
  • #20 Hose Clamp
  • #8 Hose Clamp
  • #6 Hose Clamp

Tools Needed

  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • 3/8" ratchet

  • 3/8" 8mm socket

  • 3/8" 10mm socket

  • Needlenose pliers

Stock Inlet Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery.

  2. Remove the intake duct by loosening and removing the 2 plastic philips head fasteners.

  3. Remove the factory airbox by removing the 10mm bolt securing the front of the airbox.

  4. Unplug the MAF connector by prying up on the connector carefully with a trim tool or small flat-head screwdriver.

  5. Using a pair of needle nose pliers remove the 2 clips securing the MAF wires to the air box.

  6. Loosen the 10mm hose clamp securing the intake tube to the MAF housing and remove the airbox from the engine bay.

  7. Now remove the stock turbo inlet tube by loosening the two 8mm hose clamps on the bypass valve, and the 10mm hose clamp on the turbo inlet

  8. Using a pair of needlenose pliers, carefully remove the PCV line and the small vacuum line to the boost control solenoid.

Turbo Inlet Pre-assembly

  1. Pre-install the largest hose clamp (#48) over the largest end.  This end will later go over the maf housing/airbox.

  2. Install the second largest clamp (#44) over the opposite end of the inlet.  This will go over the inlet for the turbo.

  3. The middle hose clamp will go over the port coming out at an aggressive angle for the bypass valve.  You can move over and loosely install the bypass valve, I wouldn't tighten down the hose clamp all the way yet, as it may need to be re-clocked later when you install.

  4. Install the second smallest #8 clamp over the last empty port and the #6 clamp over the smallest port with the plastic fitting.  The #6 can be tightened.

COBB Turbo Inlet Installation

  1. Loosely fit the smaller end of the inlet over the turbo.  If you have a tough time getting it in place loosen the clamp slightly or use some silicone lubricant to help it slip into place.

  2. Install the small vacuum line from the boost control system to the plastic barbed fitting.  And install the larger plastic fitting for the emissions system into the larger port then, tighten down the hose clamp.

  3. Install the recirculation pipe to the bypass valve.  It may require rotating the valve or the inlet tube to get everything lined up without strain.  Once you're happy with the positioning, tighten the hose clamps to the recirculation pipe and the inlet

  4. Reinstall the vacuum/boost reference line to the bypass valve.

  5. Go ahead and tighten down the hose clamp for the turbo inlet on the turbo.  Using a long extension can help make it easier to do.
  6. Install the maf housing/airbox into the inlet and install the rest of the airbox to the car using the plastic clips and 10mm bolt.

  7. Plug in the MAF sensor and re-attach the wiring to the airbox.  Then tighten down the clamp from the inlet to the airbox.

  8. You're all done!  Hook the battery back up and go out and enjoy!

CARB Sticker Application
