Removal of the Stock Cat-Back Exhaust

  1.  Chalk the front wheels and lift the rear of the car, supporting it with jack stands.  Then allow the car to cool properly.

  2. Start by unbolting the mid-pipe section from the cat-pipe using your 17mm.

  3. Unhook or unbolt the rear exhaust hanger of the midpipe.

  4. Slowly unbolt the two 14mm spring bolts holding the mid-pipe to the muffler.  Once unbolted slowly lower it to the ground.

  5. Remove the exhaust hangers for each side of the muffler and remove the muffler from the car.  Oftentimes it's easiest to get one side close then remove the other side entirely.

Installation of the COBB Cat-Back Exhaust

  1. Remove the exhaust hangers from the mufflers and add them on to the COBB Muffler

  2. Install the COBB muffler on to the car, once both hangers are on it should stay in place.

  3. Transfer the stock rear exhaust hanger on to the COBB catback mid-pipe

  4. Loosely install the new mid-pipe into the car using the hanger to hold it up in the back.

  5. Using the provided gaskets and hardware bolt the exhaust in place but leave it slightly loose.

  6. Move the muffler around in the hangers until you're happy with the positioning of the exhaust tips.

  7. Tighten it down the rest of the way using your two 14mm wrenches.

  8. Start the vehicle to test for exhaust leaks.  If no leaks are found, remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle.  Now, go out and enjoy your new COBB Cat-back!
