Stock Intake Removal

  1. Park your car in a flat, level area and allow it to cool down all the way.

  2. Remove the two clips holding the stock snorkel in place. The center portion can be pried/lifted out with a screwdriver or trim tool, allowing the rest of the clip to release and come out easily.

  3. With the two clips removed pull the stock snorkel out and store it somewhere safe. Or throw it away. Up to you.

  4. Remove the nut holding the rubber bumper to the bracket on the radiator support using a 10mm wrench.

  8. With the bolts holding the airbox in place removed, go ahead and remove it from the car.

  9. Pop the two clips open on the top of the airbox, then open it slightly at the top and slip the two halves apart at the hinges.

  10. Choose one of the side bushings and push the metal insert out.

  11. Squeeze the bushing and remove it from the bracket.

  7. Secure the two halves with the clips on the top. If using an aftermarket filter you may notice you need to squeeze things together a litle bit as the filter squiches to seal properly, just make sure everything is lined up.
