COBB Custom ECU Features

Not available on all model years at this time.  Check each item below for vehicle compatibility.

Map Availability: Download from the COBB Tuning Mustang EcoBoost OTS Map Database

Hardware Requirements: Stage1 - Otherwise stock vehicle with the following modifications*:

  • Intake Requirements: Stock airbox with stock/COBB air filter, or COBB intake system
  • Exhaust requirements: Stock exhaust, or COBB catback exhaust system
Hardware Requirements: Stage2 - Otherwise stock vehicle with the following modifications*:
  • Intake Requirements: A COBB intake system and COBB front mount intercooler system
  • Exhaust requirements: Stock exhaust, or COBB catback exhaust system
Hardware Requirements: Stage3 - Otherwise stock vehicle with the following modifications*:
  • Intake Requirements: A COBB intake system and COBB front mount intercooler system
  • Exhaust requirements: A COBB turbo-back exhaust system (downpipe + catback)

*The addition of any other hardware may make the vehicle perform poorly.

Fuel Requirements:
Each map lists the minimum required octane. A higher octane fuel can be used safely on a map designed for lower octane. DO NOT use maps designed for higher octane with lower octane fuels. Top Tier gasoline should be used where available.

  • Maps designated with "87" are for use with 87 and 89 octane fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "91" are for use with 91 and 92 octane fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "93" are for use with 93 and 94 octane fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "95" are for use with 95 RON fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "98" are for use with 98 RON fuel or better.

Peak Gains are measured as the absolute maximum value between the highest points of two plots.
Max. Gains are measured as the average maximum value between the highest and lowest point of two plots.

Results may vary. Power as tested on 2015 Mustang EcoBoost vehicles using top tier fuel.

Generally speaking, 91 octane calibrations have a richer fuel curve, and a less aggressive ignition advance map to help compensate for lower octane fuel blends such as those found in Arizona, California, and Nevada; and/or less than ideal atmospheric conditions. The maps designed for 93 octane are the most aggressive.

*91 and 93 octane results are compared against a 93 octane fuel baseline. Your 91 octane results may be higher than listed above; as a baseline of 91 octane fuel may read lower than our 93 octane baseline.

    Closing Warnings and Precautions:

    • Use of inappropriate calibration/modification combinations will promote engine damage.
    • COBB OTS mapping is NOT designed to be used with upgraded aftermarket boost actuators or solenoids. Doing so may result in much higher than desired boost and potential engine damage. Seek the help of a COBB Accesstuner Professional should your vehicle fall outside of OTS configurations.
    • Top Tier gasoline should be used where available. Use of lower quality fuels can result in catastrophic engine damage.
    • WARNING: Burnout Mode, Launch Control, Transbrake, and Flat-Foot-Shift (LC/FFS) are abusive to the engine, clutch, transmission, axles, and differential. The user accepts all risks and responsibilities when using these features.
    • WARNING: Performance calibrations not designed for use when towing.
