Ford COBB Custom Features - Accesstuner Definition Upgrade Strategy
Introduction
COBB Custom Features (CCF) support was originally released in Ford Accesstuner Pro version 1.9.1.0-13796. The original definition files have since been labeled as CCF Gen1. CCF Gen2 is now available with improvements to COBB Realtime and COBB Speed Density tuning. The following guide provides an overview of migrating CCF Gen1 calibrations to the new CCF Gen2 strategy.
Maps created using the original CCF Gen1 (v400) vehicle strategies can be partially imported into the new CCF Gen2 (v500+) vehicle strategies.
CCF Gen1 and CCF Gen2 map files can be opened in the map comparison view for analysis and imported bidirectionally.
Review the details below to aid in the migration of existing calibration files from CCF Gen1 to a CCF Gen2 vehicle strategy.

How do I migrate my existing CCF Gen1 calibrations to a CCF Gen2 vehicle?
- Open the CCF Gen2 vehicle associated with your previous CCF Gen1 map you wish to import values from.
- See the table above for a reference between old and new vehicle names.
- We're going to use the "Import Tables from Map..." feature. You can find it under the "File" → "Import Tables from Map...".
- Navigate to the CCF Gen1 map file you wish to import from and click "Open".
- Disclaimer: Due to changes in the default values for the CCF Traction Control feature, be mindful to exclude previous OTS values from import!
- Click "Select All" - excluding any CCF Gen1 Traction Control settings that aren't desired and click "Ok".
- This file will now contains all applicable OEM table, toggle, and DTC data from the CCF Gen1 calibration.
- From this point you will need to manually copy the previous CCF Gen1 calibration data contained in any "COBB Custom Features" sub-folder into the CCF Gen2 vehicle calibration.
- To do this a second instance of Accesstuner will need to be opened.
- One instance with the CCF Gen1 vehicle and previous map file.
- One instance with the CCF Gen2 vehicle and newly created map file.
- At this point we recommend saving the file as the next step will require a more manual process.
More details regarding the layout changes and things to watch for are outlined below.
Accesstuner CCF strategy and reorganization of tables
This is an overview of what has changed within Accesstuner. You may notice that some tables have been renamed or in reorganized into different sub-folders. This has been done to present a more logical context in regards to the relationship of feature requirements.
- Below are some examples of what the old and new changes will look like.
- Note: Some table sizes may have changed, be mindful to review and copy X, Y, and Z-data when updating to CCF Gen2 vehicles.
- Note: Tables have been grouped where applicable, into a "Switchable Maps" sub-folder.
- Note: When copying table data from a CCF Gen1 calibration please be cautious due to changes made to tables like the example shown below.
- In this example the X axis previously contained -1 for (reverse) and now only contains 0-6. Additionally, the Y axis has been expanded and contains more resolution!
