Stock Component Removal
Exhaust components can often become locked in place so it's a good time to spray your bolts and oxygen sensors with a penetrating oil.
- Park your car in a smooth, flat area and properly lift and support it.
- Using a 22mm oxygen sensor wrench remove the oxygen sensor. Be careful not to damage the wiring.
- Unloop the wiring from the connectors that take it underneath the exhaust.
   - Unbolt the side exhaust hanger using a 12mm wrench.
- Loosen the two 19mm nuts going from the downpipe to the factory mid-pipe. Leave the nuts on loosely for now to give you the support to loosen the remaining bolts.
   - Loosen the two 19mm rear bolts of the mid-pipe. Once they're both moving easily you can remove both of the bolts entirely.
   - With the rear bolts removed, you can remove the front bolts and remove the entire mid-pipe from the car.
COBB Mid-pipe Installation
- Transfer the stock exhaust hanger along with the hardware over to the new mid-pipe.
- Bolt the pipe into place using your stock gaskets.
   - Apply a small amount of antiseize to the threads of the oxygen sensor then reinstall.
- Since the sensor has been relocated to the other side of the pipe, the wiring is now too long, you can either zip tie it into the protective cage it has underneath the car, or carefully pull some of the slack into the inside of the car where it comes through the floor underneath the seat.
- Flash an appropriate map onto the car.
- You're all good! Go out and enjoy.
