Nissan Common Trouble Codes and Potential Fixes

Common Trouble Codes and Potential Fixes

Applicable Vehicle:

  • Nissan GT-R

  •  P0101- Mass or Volume Air flow Circuit Range/Performance Problem. If this is not a Speed Density Vehicle, the code is typically caused by a failing or failed Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
  •  P0102- Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit low Input. If this is not a Speed Density Vehicle, the code is typically caused by a failing or failed Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
  •  P0103- Mass or Volume Air flow Circuit High Input. If this is not a Speed Density Vehicle, the code is typically caused by a failing or failed Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
  •  P010b- Mass air flow sensor (bank 2) circuit range/performance. If this is not a Speed Density Vehicle, the code is typically caused by a failing or failed Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
  •  P0605- ECU/ECM Some aftermarket intercoolers change the airflow through the motor in such a way as to swap MAF sensor banks. In order to correct this the tuner can either re-wire the MAF sensors to read from the appropriate side of the motor OR the tuner can now simply enable the MAF bank switch toggle to change MAF banks inside the ECU. We have also seen a bad vehicle battery cause this CEL.
  •  P0700- Transmission Control System Malfunction. If this is not a Speed Density Vehicle, the tuning for aftermarket intakes may be at fault. The TCM (transmission control module) is aware of the throttle positions and the estimated torque based on airflow. If the airflow meter calibration is incorrect then it will throw an error. See the tuning guide for settings in the software to resolve this.
