Tools Needed

Hand Tools

  • 3/16”mm Allen Key

Misc.

  • 5/16” fuel line disconnect tool

Wrenches

  • 22mm combination wrench
    or

  • 7/8” combination wrench

Pre-Assembly

  1. Install the fuel pressure sensor into the fuel pressure sensor adapter with a small dab of the provided thread sealer. You may want to test fit it on the car to make sure the sensors harness doesn’t get in the way of anything as things are quite tight. You’ll need to use a 3/16” Allen to remove the NPT plug in place, and a 7/8” or 22mm wrench to tighten the sensor down.

Sensor Installation

  1. Inspect the new components included with the COBB kit. If anything appears out of place, please contact COBB immediately and do not proceed with the installation.

  2. Park your car in a flat, level area and allow it to cool down all the way.

  3. Discharge the existing fuel pressure from the system. It’s a good idea to consult the factory manual for OEM methods. One potential route if you feel it can be done safely, is to let the car idle, and then remove the 15a fuse for the fuel pump. (Consult your owners manual or fusebox for which fuse this is) This will allow the car to run for a few moments longer and then stall. While there will still be some residual fuel in the system, it won’t be under pressure so you won’t cause AS big of a mess. Set the fuse and fusebox lid somewhere safe for the time being. Make sure to turn the car off after it stalls!

  4. On the Driver’s side of the engine you can see the three fuel/evap lines coming out of the intake manifold region. Disconnect the top one (either using a factory disconnect tool or other 5/16” fuel line disconnect tool) and install the fuel pressure sensor adapter to the engine side. Afterward you can either reinstall the stock line, or use this opportunity to install the fuel lines for your flex fuel kit!

Wiring Harness Routing

  1. The wiring harness can route under or through the intake manifold (or over if you’re a monster) to the passenger’s side of the car.

  2. Once you get it over there it will meet up with the flex fuel harness by the TGV assembly. If you’re ready to flash a map you can go ahead and plug things in. The fuel pressure sensor will get plugged into the engine harness first so the order should go
Engine Harness → Fuel Pressure → Flex Fuel → TGV

  3. You’re all done! Close everything back up and flash an appropriate map and you’re good to go!
