Congratulations on your purchase of the COBB Tuning Exhaust Heatshield! The following instructions will assist you through the installation process. Please read them BEFORE beginning the install to familiarize yourself with the steps and tools needed. If you feel you cannot properly perform this installation, we HIGHLY recommend you take the vehicle to a qualified and experienced automotive technician.

Installation

Park your car in a flat, level area and allow it to cool down.
Jack your car up or pop it on a lift, and support it securely so it is safe to work under.
While not necessary, removing the exhaust from the car can make this a little bit easier to do. That being said, you don’t get a big range of motion out of the wrenches either way. Ratcheting wrenches are highly recommended!
Remove the two left hand side bolts (the ones nearest the stock catback, driver’s side USDM). It can work best to crack them loose with a ratchet, and then use a wrench to remove them the rest of the way (ratcheting wrench preferred). If you back out the bolt too much with a ratchet it will get stuck against the subframe.
Slip the heatshield under the two bolts and reinstall them into the diff cover.
Tighten down the differential bolts to the factory torque spec (34.7 ft-lb). Then you’re all done! Go out and enjoy!
