7C1070 - Cobb Tuning MAF Block Off Plate

Congratulations on your purchase of the COBB Tuning MAF Block Off Plate! The following instructions will assist you through the installation process. Please read them BEFORE beginning the install to familiarize yourself with the steps and tools needed. If you feel you cannot properly perform this installation, we HIGHLY recommend you take the vehicle to a qualified and experienced automotive technician.

IMPORTANT! Installing this kit will require custom tuning or utilizing an appropriate Stage Power Package map if you have a matching mechanical configuration. Please consult with COBB or an authorized ProTuner in your area if you have any questions!

Parts List

(1) Driver block-off plate with o-ring installed
(1) Passenger block-off plate with o-ring installed
(4) M4x10 Button head cap screws
(4) M4 Nylon washers
(4) Zip ties
M2.5 Allen key

Tools Needed

M3 Allen Key
7mm Hex Driver
Phillips screwdriver #2

Removal of Stock Maf Sensors

Unplug Maf Sensors from wiring harness
Using a phillips head screwdriver or 7mm hext driver, remove the two screws that hold each of the MAF sensors to the airboxes or intake tubes.
Remove the stock MAF sensors and store in a safe place.

Installation of COBB Tuning MAF Block Off Plate

Put the plates onto their respective tubes.
Using the supplied 2.5mm allen key, secure the plates on each side with two M4 button head cap screws and two M4 nylon washers. Hand tighten.
Zip tie the MAF wiring harness out of the way unless you are using a blow through configuration that places the MAF sensors somewhere else.
Congrats! You're done!

REMEMBER! You MUST be properly tuned for speed density or a blow through configuration in order to be able to drive the car after installation of the block off plates.
