When And Why

  • Once you have enabled PDK tuning on your COBB Tuned Porsche, you will have the ability to use launch control on both Sport Chrono and non-Sport Chrono equipped vehicles!
  • You can use launch control to consistently perform the fastest launches possible at the racetrack.

Things To Look Out For

Warning:

Launch control can be incredibly abusive the transmission, drivetrain, tires, and motor. Use at your own risk.

  • You DO NOT need to disable stability or traction control.
  • You DO NOT need to enable Sport Plus.
  • Keep the transmission in AUTO mode.
  • Launch RPM values (adjustable within AccesstunerPro):
    • Without Sport Chrono:
      • Normal - 4500 RPM
      • Sport - 4500 RPM
    • With Sport Chrono:
      • Normal - 4500 RPM
      • Sport - 4500 RPM
      • Sport Plus - 5500 RPM (factory value)

Steps to Use

  1. Depress the brake pedal to 100%

  2. Quickly depress and hold the accelerator pedal to 100%. You MUST pass the kickdown notch.
  3. The revs will hold at the preset launch control RPM. This varies from vehicle to vehicle, but will likely exceed 6000 RPM on most N/A motors and around 5500 RPM on most turbo motors.
  4. Release the brake pedal quickly and keep the accelerator at 100%.
  5. Enjoy!
