Required Accessport Firmware:

Map Availability:

Hardware Requirements:

Stage2 requires an exhaust system in order to be used. Intercoolers are recommended on any stage to combat high intake air temps on the Porsche.

Stage3 1000 requires an exhaust system, Cobb1000cc fuel injectors(Discontinued), and upgraded intercoolers.

Stage3 1300 requires an exhaust system, Cobb1300cc fuel injectors, and upgraded intercoolers.

*Stage 3 Maps are available here via Cobb Tuning's Website.

Fuel Requirements:

Each map lists the minimum required octane. A higher octane fuel can be used safely on a map designed for lower octane. DO NOT use maps designed for higher octane with lower octane fuels. Top Tier gasoline should be used where available.

  • Maps designated with "100" are for use with 100 octane/104 RON fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "93" are for use with 93 and 94 octane/98 RON fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "91" are for use with 91 and 92 octane/95 RON fuel or better.
  • Maps designated with "ACN91" are for use with 91 octane fuel found in Arizona, California, and Nevada or better.
  • Maps designated with "E85" are for use with 85% Ethanol, 15% Gasoline fuel only.

These maps are designed for E10 fuel (fuel with 10% ethanol content). For those who only have access to E0 fuel (fuel with 0% ethanol) it is recommended to use the "91" and "ACN91" octane versions of the maps and datalog the car to ensure your fuel is performing to the necessary level. This is especially important for those using Canadian 94 octane E0 fuel.

Map Version Notes:

Note: Chrono Sport/Overboost mode - Is a Porsche option that increases boost for a short time period. The GT2 does not come with Sport mode and will not have the overboost function that the normal 997.1 Turbos have.

  • Stage1
    • Exhaust Requirements: Stock
    • Intake Requirements: Stock air box with stock air filter
    • Boost Targets: 16psi on Normal Mode 18psi on Sport Mode (+/-1 PSI)

  • Stage2
    • Exhaust Requirements: After-Market Exhaust System
      • High Flow Exhaust (larger diameter piping)
      • High flow catalytic converters.
    • Intake Requirements: Stock airbox with stock air filter or upgraded panel filter.
    • Boost Targets: 17psi on normal mode, 20psi on Sport mode. (+/-1 PSI)

  • Stage3
    • *Stage 3 Maps are available here via Cobb Tuning's Website.
    • Exhaust Requirements: After-Market Exhaust System
      • High Flow Exhaust (larger diameter piping)
      • High flow catalytic converters.
    • Intake Requirements: Stock airbox with stock air filter or upgraded panel filter.
    • Cobb 1000cc Injectors (Discontinued)
      • Use Stage3 1000 ... v102 maps.
    • Cobb 1300cc Injectors
      • Use Stage3 1300 ... v102 maps.
    • Upgraded Intercoolers

Notes: Stage1, Stage2, and Stage3 OTS maps have brake boosting enabled for 2 seconds. You will be able to floor the gas with your foot on the brake to build boost. The timer for the sport button has also been raised to 30 seconds so that you can enjoy the overboost feature for longer. The additions of any other hardware may cause the vehicle to perform poorly. If you experience any issues at all please contact our Porsche Expert Group at Porsche.Experts@Cobbtuning.com

  • Non Performance Maps
    • Valet Mode
      • Rev limiter set to 4000 RPM. Not for use with Stage3. Boost lowered to half of normal.
    • Anti-Theft Mode
      • This map will not allow the vehicle to start.
    • Stage 0
      • Stock calibration. No changes made at all.

Closing Warnings and Precautions:

  • Use of inappropriate calibration/modification combinations will promote engine damage
  • Seek the help of a professional COBB Protuner should your Porsche Turbo fall outside of OTS map requirements.
  • Top Tier gasoline should be used when available. Use of lower quality fuels can result in catastrophic engine damage.
  • For track events, we recommend adding at least 2 gallons of 100 octane fuel to battle high track temperatures.
  • If using E85 it is your responsibility to ensure you are getting the proper mixture from your station. Many stations change to an E70 blend in the winter.
