Tools Needed

Sockets

3/8"

  • 3/8" ratchet

  • 3/8" 10 mm socket

Hand Tools

  • Trim removal tool

Wrenches

  • 8mm combination wrench

  • 4mm Allen wrench (included)

Stock Intake Scoop Removal

  1. Park your car in a safe area that is flat and level.

  2. Remove the two trim clips holding the snorkel in place on the core support. Pull the center part of the clips out with your trim tool until tey click and then pull out the lower part.

  3. Remove the other trim clips that hold the plastic cover over the upper grill area. That cover can then be removed.

  4. Grab your 8mm socket or wrench and remove the small bolt holding the intake scoop to the intake, then the snorkel can be removed from the engine bay.

COBB Radiator Shroud Installation

  1. Line up the edge trim on the center leading edge of the shroud. Press it on starting at one end and trim it to fit at the other end.

  2. Do the same with the bulb seal on the opposite longer side (with the raised “box” shape). This seal has metal in it so while you can cut through the rubber with a razor or knife, you’ll likely need some side cutters or metal shears to snip through the metal reinforcement of the flat mounting surface. There will sometimes be a small piece of metal sticking out where it overlaps, pull this out to prevent cutting yourself (or future self).

  3. Slide it into place with the front edge you put the edge trim on going under the top edge of the grille.

  4. Loosely install the new allen bolts with the plastic washer underneath.

  5. Add the foam washers to each of the stock trim clips. This will prevent them from marking the carbon fiber, and make it easier to remove.

  6. Add the trim clips to the 6 holes leaving the two for the scoop empty still.
