  1. Park your car in a flat, level area and allow it to cool down properly.

  2. Using a 10mm wrench, remove the negative terminal of the battery.

  3. You don't need to remove the wheels to do this job but it will get you easier access.  If you choose to remove them break the rear wheel nuts loose but don't remove them.

  4. Jack your car up and support it properly, either using a lift, ramps, or jack and jack stands.  Remove the rear wheels if you're going to take them off.

  5. Lay a blanket or cardboard down under the car, or grab a creeper.  In this case his name is Andrew

  6. Start by parking your car in a flat level area. You’ll need to be able to work both under and above the car at times.

  7. Jack your car up and safely support it, or use a lift if you’re a baller.

  8. Using your trim tool remove the 5 trim clips across the front of the splash guard. This is done by pulling out the center until it stops, then popping the outside body out of the plastic shield.

  9. Remove the two 12mm bolts at the front.

  10. in front of each wheel, remove the trim clip near the tow hook, then the two on the wheel side, the top one is about halfway up the wheel well.

  11. Remove the two small plastic clips from the splash guard that goes to the metal skid plate on each side as well as two in the front.

  12. The splashguard should now drop out.

  13. Using a 14mm, remove the 4 bolts holding the factory skid plate in place. It hooks into place in the back so you can remove those first and let it drop down to the hooks, then remove the two front bolts and slide the tray out without dropping it and making a very loud noise that scares your dog that runs away and you spend several hours chasing through the neighborhood and are henceforth considered “that” family.

  14. Using a 6mm allen key or socket in order to hold the center portion of your end link in place. Then, using a 17mm wrench, undo the lower endlink for the swaybar on both sides.

  15. Use your 12mm to undo the nut and bolt holding the swaybar brackets in place on either side.

  16. Put a piece of wood on the top of your jack and place it under the motor.

  17. Loosen off the motor mount nuts on either side of the engine. You can leave them on and just backed out to keep the engine mostly in place.

  18. Gently and slowly jack up on the engine with your jack. It shouldn’t need to go up much in order to allow the swaybar out to loudly clang against the concrete floor.

COBB Swaybar Installation

  1. Put a blob of the provided grease into each of the bushings, then install them on the swaybar to the outside of the collars locked around the bar.

  2. Slip the bar back up behind the oil pan and relatively into place, with the ends of the swaybar curling back up and towards the back.

  3. Once it’s up in place, you can gently lower the motor back down and tighten down the motor mount nuts.

  4. Slip the end links into place on the swaybar and get the nut started but don’t tighten it for now.

  5. Slip the swaybar brackets over the new bushing and tighten them down using the factory hardware.

  6. Now you can go ahead and tighten the endlink back up all the way.

  7. Reinstall the skid plate and splash tray.

  8. You’re all done! Go out and enjoy! keep in mind if you hear any crunching noises, it may be that the bushings need additional grease.
